It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Adeline MacDonald, 85, of Sydney Mines, on Thursday, September 28, 2017.
Born in Bras d’Or, on June 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Ellen (Cantwell) Brennick. She is survived by her five daughters, Ellen (Daniel) Clarke, Linda (Gilles) Maillet, Debbie (George) Podetz, Brenda (Joey) Andrea, and Janet (Greg) Dicks.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Jim, Danielle, Tyler, David, Jonathan, Melissa, Nicole, Leah, Stacy, Cheryl, Maria, Joseph, Jaclyn and seven great grandchildren, Drake, Leo, Alexander, Lucas, Sadie, Lydia and Nicholas; as well as a sister, Helen Devison, who she dearly loved and felt was a great inspiration throughout her life.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Jerome; her grandson Michael, grandson-in-law LT; sister Blanche and brothers, John and Bernie.
Adeline was a generous, thoughtful and compassionate wife and mother whose greatest joy was her family. How truly fortunate we were to have her positive spirit, warm nature and wisdom, all of which has enriched our lives. Our mother was the guiding light for us and we will carry on her remarkable Legacy of Love. It warms our hearts knowing our dear mother and father are together again… All Our Love.
