  We, the family, regret to announce the passing of Margaret Gracie, age 70, on Saturday,May 16,2020, at home, with her loving family by her side.  Born in Point Aconi on January 5,1950, Margaret was the daughter of the late Robert and Regina (Roland) Stubbert.  
  Margaret is survived by her husband Francis (Panky) Gracie, children Allison (Shawn) Clost, Robert (Carrie) Gracie and grandsons Lucas and Owen Gracie.  Also left to mourn are sisters Wena(Billy) Stubbert, Elva (Tony) Robinson, Alice (Ray) MacNeil, Brenda Stubbert, brother Byron(Donna) Stubbert, childhood best friend Esther (Beaton) Giles as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Regina Stubbert and brother Wilbert Stubbert.
Margaret was an employee of the Cape Breton Development Corporation for over 25 years working at the Princess Colliery, Sydney Mines and Prince Mine, Point Aconi until her retirement.   She was also a long time member of Clyde Avenue Baptist Church, Sydney Mines.  Margaret’s greatest joy was being a grandmother to Lucas and Owen.
  The family would like to thank Dr. K. Khodadad, patient navigator Rhonda McNeil as well as the staff at the Cape Breton Regional Cancer Center for their care and compassion.  We would also like to send a heartfelt thanks to the nurses on 4West Northside General Hospital, VON and Palliative Care for facilitating Margaret’s wish of being in the comfort of her home in her final days.
  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Cape Breton Circle of Care campaign www.circleofcarecb.ca.  Due to current pandemic restrictions a private family burial will take place.  A memorial service of Margaret’s life will take place at a later date.  Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
