It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wanda Louise Quinn-Simec, 55, on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Alder Point on May 24, 1964, she was the daughter of John and Angela (Gracie) Quinn.
She will be sadly missed by all her customers and co-workers at the Celtic Country Market.
Besides her parents, Wanda is survived by her loving children Marsha Simec (Jackie), Jennifer Simec (Alex), and J. D. Simec (Morgan). She also leaves behind her brothers Wayne Quinn (Brenda), and David Quinn. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren Corbyn and Owen Burke, and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Joe and Dot Quinn, her maternal grandparents Theodore and Agnes Gracie, and her best friend Wendy.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Lisa MacInnis and the wonderful doctors and nurses in the Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wanda’s memory may be made to the An Cala Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Wanda was bigger in life than she was tall and a true friend to everyone who knew her. She lived and laughed with passion, in her unmistakable and unforgettable tone rivaled only by one other who will be waiting for her in heaven!! My heart is heavy and words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. RIP Wanda!
