You were the funniest lady I met. You had a great sense of humour. Every time I spoke to Regis she always had a funny story about you, either what you said or what you may have done. I laughed til I cried. All I can think is you are with Nannie(Jenny) and making some home made goodies in heaven. My God you could of passed for her twin. Not hard to tell you two were sisters.
May you Rest In Peace Emmy. And continue with your sense of humour. You didn’t care what you said, that’s what made it funny.

Love Holly, Kirk MacDonald

My first year teaching was in Dingwall in 1972 and I lived at the glebe house with Father Reg Currie who was also a native of Reserve Mines. Fr. Reg arranged for me to have a daily meal at the home of Cecil, Emma, and their son, Meech. That was a wonderful turn of events for me as the Rambeaus were the finest kind of people who treated me as their own. Emma was a beautiful person - very sincere, kind, funny, and supportive. She was also a great cook and I thoroughly enjoyed her meals that were always so lovingly prepared. I am very saddened to hear of her passing and I extend my condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
