Arthur J. (Art) Jackson
Sydney Mines

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Arthur J. Jackson on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Turner) Jackson.
He could be found most of the time in his garage working on his 1949 Hudson. He was a member of the Cape Breton Classic Cruisers car club and enjoyed the fellowship of other old car enthusiasts.
He is survived by his son Allan and daughter-in-law Jenny, who are now living in Florida, as well as grandson Clayton who is living in Colorado, and some very special friends, including his childhood friend Travis.  He is also survived by his cousin John (Joanne) Turner, sister-in-law Shirley MacNeil, sister-in-law Loreta (Peter) Mullins and brother-in-law Howard (Dolena) Snow.
Besides his parents, Art was predeceased by his wife Melva.
Donations in Art's memory may be made to the Trinity Anglican Church or a charity of one's choice.   A private family service and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com

Sorry to hear of Art’s passing. Over the years we formed a friendship with you Allan & Art during your membership in the Cape Breton Antique & Custom Car Club. Art was always available when we needed him for Northside Activities. Always willing to help. If there is anything we can do for you Allan, do not hesitate to call us. The other night we were watching a video taken in 1992 and the Chevy & Hudson were both on display. The video was taken in North Sydney.

Our condolences- Bill & Sheila Corbett
