Moira Elizabeth Wilson
Sydney Mines
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of our beloved sister and friend, Moira Elizabeth Wilson, 68, on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at the Northside General Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born on December 31, 1952, Moira was the most cherished daughter of the late Peter and Normena (Dolly MacIntosh) Wilson.
Moira liked to walk, travel, shopping and animals. After she stopped working, she cared for her parents until they passed.
Moira is survived by her brother William (Billy and Jane), several cousins (whom she regarded as sisters); Drue Hall (late Chuck), Shirley Winstanley (Dick), Norma Messenger (late Tom), and Martha Bonnar. She will be missed by many other cousins, relatives and friends. She had a great friend in Shelley Holloway and the late Rachael Bonnar.
Besides her parents Peter and Normena Wilson, she was predeceased by her Uncle Alex, her best friend Aunt Clara MacIntosh, and many others whom she was close to.
Her family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Northside General Hospital for the care given to Moira, making her comfortable during her illness.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, February 12, 2021, at 11 am, in Holy Family Church, with Fr. Fabian Ihunegbo officiating. Covid restrictions will be in effect in the church, and there will be no lunch. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
