I had the pleasure of being a student of cosmetology at Memorial High with Sharon. She was such a wonderful teacher, and friend. She opened her home to us with some great music and girls nites. She went out of her way to bring a smile. I have very fond memories of Sharon and always enjoyed her talking about her loved little dogs. A very talented and devoted person of faith. She will be missed. God bless you all at this difficult time.

Condolences to Brian, Diane & family .
Sharon was a great musician & entertainer who loved her family especially Brian, Diane, Kevin & Shaun . She lived life to the fullest enjoying her music, boat, cabin, motorcycle and always having room in her heart & home for a dog or 2 ( especially Maltese). Just reminiscing all the good times she, Brian & I had on our bikes — memories forever !
RIP Sharon - you fought the good fight 🙏

I am so sad to read of Sharon's passing! She was so full of life that you couldn't help but smile when she was around. I can still hear her voice and that laugh that came from her toes! We had a lot of laughs during our years of working together at Memorial and I still have a weak ankle from one of many "Girls nights" at her cabin. Lol Steve and I were talking about her today and Steve was laughing saying he always got a big hug and a kiss whenever he met her anywhere. She will certainly be missed but she takes lots of love with her! ♥️♥️

Our deepest sympathies to Brian, Diane, and families on Sharon’s passing. Sharon holds a special place in our hearts. She shared her gift of song at our Wedding.
Sharon and I shared on adjoining classroom door at MHS. Most mornings the door was open, her on her side, me on mine, sharing the latest “ in-house gossip”. Many times Sharon had to open the door to settle my class when I was “ out of the room”. But many times with the door closed, Sharon would break out in song. While I am trying to explain the derivative of Log function to my class, we could hear anything from “ Rock Around the Clock” to “How Great Though Art” . So much for derivatives!! Sharon was always the heart of the social scene at MHS.

It is with a very heavy heart I write this, Sharon was my mentor, teacher at Memorial High school, she was so proud when I graduated with the highest in Nova Scotia for Hairdressing. Sharon accompanied me to Halifax to accept my award in which I never would have achieved without Sharon's support, and skills. Sharon was strong, skilled beautiful woman, sing like an angel, and bring a smile to your face with her witty sense of humour. I will never forget her and her "sayings" they still make me laugh, she made a huge impact on my life, that she will never know, I will keep her in my heart forever.... Rest easy Sharon 💔🙏

I met Sharon at the annual NSCC teacher's conferences - we sang and played guitars until the wee hours on many occasions. She was such a talented soul and a fellow Sydney Miner to boot - a great sense of humour and wit.
She will be sadly missed but I can't help but think there's a party going on in heaven with lots of love, laughter and music.

Remember that I first met Sharon when her family were new neighbours on Atlantic Ave .Then her family moved to atlantic Street .We visited each others houses, shared friends and birthday parties. In later years I worked with Sharon for awhile . I got to see firsthand that Her many clients loved her laugh & her sense of humor. She was generous with her time & talents . One occasion she helped me make a meat loaf stuffed with mushrooms, wine , peppers & mysterious spices for my then boyfriend Jamie Lewis...she had lots of suggestions and ideas for occasions which she insisted that I try. I am happy to see what a full life of accomplishments , friends, music she has led. Condolences to her husband Brian, friends,& family. Rest in peace Sharon
