I had the pleasure of selling Howard his Kia car about 15 years ago and enjoyed his visits at the dealership over the years.Out side of work we would meet and enjoy our chats. As a history buff I enjoyed his many stories. He was a quick thinker and a real story teller. He was a person who never failed to make me smile and I would like to think we were friends. He would always come over to ask how I was doing weather at Tims or the mall.He will be missed truley one of the good people in life.My sorry to his family.

I don't know your Dad. But reading his obituary put a lump in my throat. He served King and Country at such a young age. I just want to say Thank You Gunner Pettipa for your service to our great Country. It's men and women like him and my late Uncle Joe who served in the Merchant Marines that made us what we are today,  ''FREE''

To The Family:
Please accept my sincere sympathy on your loss of Howard.
I met Howard a few years ago at Karaoke at Branch 12 Legion.
My friends and I danced with him and we became friends and had tea with him many times at Tim Horton's. He was a sweetheart.
He was a real gentleman. We enjoyed his company and stories and his great sense of humor. He will be missed.
Treasure your memories and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Greta Nearing.

I am so sorry to hear of Howard’s passing. When I was growing up, Howard was the visitor who arrived in any weather including blinding blizzards or special occasions at anytime! Always happy, smiling, and full of stories.   I loved hearing his memories about my Bonin grandparents and great- grandparents,  other family we shared  and of course life in Poirierville.  He was very thoughtful to keep in touch and I will miss his calls. So sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad's  passing.  He was  so friendly and willing to talk any time we crossed paths. The last time I saw him was a few years ago,  he was driving on Villa Drive and stopped to chat while I was  picking up mom's  mail.  We had a few laughs and talked about old times. He asked about my family and mentioned how much he missed living in Bras D'or. My condolences to all of you during this difficult time.
