Duncan and family ,
Sorry to here of Gordie's  passing. I saw his love of animals first hand a long time ago when I was visiting  the farm and he was nice enough to pic a kitten for me to take home. It was much appreciated  as he was only young then. Truly a kind soul.
To you and all the family my condolences .

To the MacDonald family of Bay Road Valley
I cant imagine the sadness and pain you feel these days as you deal with the loss of so many loved ones in your life. While I didnt know Gordie personally I remember his birth as it was well known in the family and community that his prognosis wasnt the best but he was a fighter from the beginning and your mom was the same.   After reading this beautifully written obituary ( one of the best Ive ever read ) I feel I know exactly who Gordie was and how he lived his life. And how special he was to you all. The sudden loss of such an extraordinary constant  in your lives is very difficult. The love and support you showed him from day one and the lessons of life he taught you guys is an inspiration to us all . During these difficult days his memory and legacy will hopefully ease some of the sense of loss you feel. As a relative and friend of the family please accept my sincere sympathy.

Dear Darlene, Duncan,Bruce, Charlie, Norman and families, I was very sad to learn of the passing of your brother Gordon. I send my deepest sympathy to all of you.
My Mother, Dolly MacAskill , was your father Gordon's cousin. I first met you when you lived at the farm. I was glad to meet Geordie, Bruce and Norman in 2018 at the Cape North Museum.
I send caring thoughts to you and your families.
Sincerely, Mary Anne Niddery
