Alleine Dove
Sydney Mines
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother Alleine (Pye) Dove, on November 28, 2023, at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines on December 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the Late Herbert and Hannah (Antle) Pye. Alleine was Louis Dove's loving wife. Mom and Dad were married for 58 years until Da’s passing in 2010.
Always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Alliene is survived by her son Blair (Helene Reashore), daughters Linda, Debbie (Lenny Blagdon), and Wanda (Terry Dandy), and grandsons Ambrose, William (Nee), Shane (Melissa), Aaron, and great-granddaughters Kylie, and Payton. Sister Jean (Ian) Gillan, Toronto. Also left to mourn Alleine’s passing are numerous nieces and nephews, who had a very loving relationship with her and will miss her dearly.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son George, brothers Charles, John, Fred, Victor, Leonard, Elijah, Ananias, and Clarence, sisters Annie and Sara Belle, as well as members of the Dove family.
Her family is truly appreciative of the loving care she received from the nurses and doctors at 4 East and 4 West of the Northside General Hospital as well as Dr. Alex Wawer, D. Joan Salah, and the staff of Taigh Solas. Many thanks to special friends Nelson MacInnis, his late wife Marlyn, Jenelle Mulholland, and the Burke Street neighbors for all their kindness.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 1-3 PM at J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines, with a service to follow at 3 pm. Words of comfort can be made to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
