Ann Marie Powers
November 23, 1957 – February 20, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we, the family of Ann Marie Powers, announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and friend at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Palliative Care unit surrounded by loved ones after a short, difficult battle with Cancer.
Born November 23, 1957, she was the daughter of the Late Joseph and Pamela (Davies) Boutilier, also predeceased by her loving husband Daniel, Son Daniel, and granddaughter Brittany. Left to mourn are her daughter Rosemary (Bill), Son Michael (Gemma), and loving grandchildren Sommer (Matthew), Emma, Brixton, and Maxx. Along with her brothers Raymond (Merle) Boutilier, Johny (Anne) Boutilier, Michael (Susan) Boutilier, Brian (Noel) Boutilier, Martin Boutilier Sister Carl (Murdock) Matheson, Sandra (Terry), Joan (Paul) MacDonald. Carina (Joe) MacLean and many nieces, nephews, and friends will miss her dearly.
Ann Marie was one of a kind. She had a kind, gentle soul that everyone loved. She was devoted to her family, and you could always find her in her rocking chair with a cup of tea. For many years, Ann Marie worked at the Inverary Inn in Baddeck, where she made many memories and friends. In her free time, you can bet she wouldn’t pass up a game of tarbish or 45s with some great company.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at the Palliative Care unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, along with Dr. Michelle McKeough, Nurse Practitioner Arlene Billard, and the team at the Cancer Centre.
Cremation has taken place a visitation will be held for Ann Marie on Friday, Feb 23, 2024, from 1-3 Pm at JM Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A Service conducted by Rev.
