Annie Patricia (Patsy) Warren

It is with great sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Annie Patricia (Patsy) Warren, age 81, who passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Sydney Mines, Patsy was the daughter of the late Annie and William Roberts.

Patsy was predeceased by her sons, Hector and Tim. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne, and her son, Darrell (Beverly).

She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Nick (Kay), Tonya (Troy), Greg (Adam), Megan (Andrew), Shane (Kiersten), Kayla (Ben), Morgan (Logan), Hannah, and Matt; and her great-grandchildren: Tianna, Alexis, Ethan, Bentley, and Cohen.

Patsy was affectionately known as “MA” to dozens of neighbourhood children, all of whom she welcomed with open arms and a caring heart.

She was a proud member of the Sydney Mines Seniors and Pensioners Club, where she especially enjoyed afternoons spent playing bingo.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Northside Homemakers for their kindness and care over the past several years.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines. A luncheon and celebration of life will follow at the Sydney Mines Seniors and Pensioners Club. All who knew and loved Patsy are welcome to attend.
