Obituary

Barbara Marie Degiobbi

Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia

  It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara Degiobbi (Thurbide), Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, at the Baddeck Hospital on Saturday, March 11th 2023.

 Barbara was born in Florence and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Thurbide.

 Barbara was predeceased by her son Joseph, brothers Benny, Joe, Anthony, and Lawrence, as well as sister Agnes. She was also predeceased by Helen and Basil Lorax, Louie Degiobbi, Albert Durango, Beatrice Degiobbi.

Left to mourn are her husband Anthony, brothers Steve (Colleen), Donald (Bev), Brian, and Kevin. sisters Bernice, Carlie, and Linda (Warren). Also, daughter-in-law Luzminda and granddaughters Jennifer and Tara, and her in-laws – Chris Degiobbi, Leno and Pauline Degiobbi, Sally Degiobbi, Guido (Sylvia) Degiobbi.

Visitation for Barbara Degobbi will be held Friday, March 17th, 2023, from 10 – 11 am in JM Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main Street. Sydney Mines. A gathering for friends and family will take place at the Sydney Mines Legion following the service. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
