With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, Beatrice Prince, at 70 years old, on April 22nd, 2025, at Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home in Glace Bay.
Beatrice was the beloved daughter of William and Beatrice, Prince of Sydney Mines. Left to mourn her are her daughters Judy (John) Bonnar of Glace Bay and Nancy (Jeff) Day of North Sydney, along with her brothers Billy, Kenny, and David Prince. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, who were her pride and Joy: Kaine, Seth, Matthew, Chelsea, and Daymus. She is additionally survived by many brothers/sisters in law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother and father in law, June and Joe Williams, brothers in law Francis & Michael Williams, sister in law Jackie Prince, her dear cousin Ann Armsworthy, & her fur baby Candy.
Mom had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She was loved by all.
Special thanks to the Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home staff for taking care of not only her but all of us. We are ever grateful for your kindness and support over the years. Mom loved you all.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Taigh Na Mara Recreation Department to help enrich the lives of our seniors.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Jobes’ Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at a later date.
