With great sorrow, we announce Bernard (Bernie) MacDonald's passing at home on July 20, 2024. Peacefully with his family and loved ones by his side.
A faithful husband, father, and brother, Bernie worked in several positions where he endeared himself to those he served. Whether it was at Martell’s Construction, The Northside Guest Home, or Canada Post, Bernie always strived to do his best and to make friends along the way. Bernie is survived by his wife, Lorie (Reashore), daughter Kyla, son Ben, and best little buddy, “Sadie,” a beautiful Golden Retriever who was always at his side right up to the end. He is also survived by brothers Bill, Russell (Anne), Frank (Marie), Thomas (Debbie), and Alex (Charlene), survived by sisters Mary (Fred) Brickell, Elizabeth (Neil) MacNeil, Lisa Marie, and many nieces and nephews. Bernie was predeceased by parents John and Sebena (Devoe), brothers John Gordon and Gordon, two sister in-laws Chris and Sandy and in-laws Wilfred and Eleanor Reashore.
