Bernice Mary Vickers

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Bernice Vickers on October 31, 2025, at the Northside General Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness.

Bernice is survived by her loving husband, Blaise Vickers; her daughters Joanne Bruno and Shauna (Jim) Guy; and her cherished granddaughters, Jenah and Victoria Guy. She is also survived by her brothers Ed Bonnar (Ontario) and Bill (Marguerite) Weatherbee, her sister Josepha Lawley, and several nieces and nephews — including Billy Joe, whom she held especially close and considered like a son.

Bernice was predeceased by her parents, Victoria and Robert Weatherbee.

Bernice was a quiet and private person who loved her family deeply, and she will be remembered for her gentle strength and the warmth she brought to those who knew her.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of 4 West, Northside General Hospital, for their compassionate care during her time there.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
