It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bertrum Seymour, age 70, on Monday, June 11, 2018.

Born in Port aux Basques on June 9, 1948, Bert was the son of the late Michael and Blanche (Musseau) Seymour.

He is survived by his wife Colleen (Lovell) Seymour, daughter Kim (Greg) Hoeg, and sons Michael (Charlene) Seymour, and Dennis (Jacqueline) Seymour. He is also survived by grandsons Ryan (Amy) Seymour, and Riley Seymour, and granddaughters Andie-Jean and Vada, who was also his best friend.

He also leaves behind his brothers Charlie (Irene), Leonard, Don (Geneva), Gordon (Sherry), Llewelyn (Debbie), Dave (Jeanie), half-brother Rick (Monique) Reid, sisters Margaret (Johnny) Hodgson, Eileen Sampson, Pearl (Bobby) Barron, sister-in-law Marilyn Seymour, as well as his special brother-in-law Earl Hodgson.

Besides his parents, Bert was predeceased by his brothers Percy, Raymond, Michael, and Gary, and sisters Jane Hodgson, Vera Penney, Violet Seymour, Dorothy Seymour and Phyllis Osmond.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Eugene Ignacio, Danielle, Pam and Janet, the paramedics and the first responders.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bert’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Diabetes Association.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
