Obituary

William (Billy) Blair Ginter

Sydney Mines

We, the family, regret to announce the sudden death of our brother, Billy Ginter. He died at home on Saturday, December 24th, 2022 at the age of 62.

Born in Sydney Mines on May 13th, 1960, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Pauline (Gove) Ginter.

Billy loved to cook and bake. He enjoyed going to bingo, scratch tickets, and his many collections. Billy was a member of the Sydney Mines Seniors and Pensioners Club.

He is survived by his best friend Jerry Costello, sisters Christina (Harry) Burt and Linda (Hugh) Sullivan, brothers Lloyd (Heather) Ginter and Troy (Rita) Ginter, and by a family friend Joan Leroy. He also has many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Paul Ginter.

We would like to say a special thank you to Jerry Costello for all he did for Pauline and Billy Ginter.

In honor of Billy, a graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

Donations in Billy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com

“And at the end of my journey,

the Eternal holds his hands and

he waves and smiles softly

and the journey is over.”
