Brian Patrick Kasouf

We regret to announce the death of our brother Brian which took place August 8,2020 in Dartmouth NS. He was originally from Sydney Mines NS and was a graduate of St F.X.U.  and the Maritime School of Social Work. He spent most of his lengthy career at the Nova Scotia Hospital while operating a farm in Hants County. He was also involved in several volunteer organizations and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Somme Br. 31 and the Dartmouth Seniors Center.  Donations may be made to those organizations or other charities. 

Brian is survived by his friend Rhoda Louise Vey, brother Blair, sister Brenda, brother in law Dr William Dolan, nieces Carrielyn Bertino, Dr Jeannine Higgins & nephew Bill Dolan as well as grand nieces & nephews Addie, Ellie ,Charlie, Brody, Carter ,Bryce, Jax  and Billy & first cousins Mike, Phil & Edna. He was also a friend of Bill W.    He was pre deceased by his parents Patrick & Marguerite (MacDonald) Kasouf and one brother Joesph.

Special thanks to the staff of Dartmouth General & Camp Hill VMB Hospitals for the care given to him for a year which  against all odds enabled him to return to his home and live as he wished for another 10 months with the help of VON , HCNS & Dr. Gehrig.Thanks also to Dartmouth EHS paramedics & ER staff for their efforts.  Due to US Border closure plans for visitations & funeral mass will be announced later for his many friends.
