I lost the love of my life and best friend of 43 years. Calvin Warren, born September 30, 1933, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Northside General Hospital.

Calvin was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 8, Sydney Mines. He enjoyed truck driving for years and met a lot of wonderful people. He also enjoyed playing music for weddings, at Indian Beach, and the Fire Hall with Todd Hines, Wade Gouthro and Ernie Wells, as well as his musical friends and all his friends at the Flea Market, Peg and Arno Johnston, George Peters, Francis MacLeod, Serelle Bagnell and Laura and Mike MacLellan

Calvin enjoyed his many friends from Membertou, Eskasoni, and his Point Aconiers, as he called them, Barb and Diane Barron, and his special niece Tina Lemoine.

Calvin is survived by his sweetheart Rae Prusik, the love of his life. He is also survived by his best friend of 50 years, Vince Garnier, who did everything for Calvin, and also Sharon for her wonderful cooking.

Also left to mourn are his children; Mansel, Raymond, Diane, Linda, Sheila, and Margaret Ann, his stepson Bill Davis, sisters Beulah Ash (Cecil), and his grandson Clayton Osmond.

He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Isabell Warren, children Calvin Jr., Wayne, and Linda at birth, sisters Alma, Muriel and Millie, Audrey and brother Mansel.

Calvin’s family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 11am to 1pm in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A celebration of his life will take place at 1pm in the funeral home.
