Cameron Gracie Obituary

Cameron Douglas Gracie

Bras d'Or

We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Cameron (Cam) Gracie on April 24th, 2021. His heart couldn’t keep up with his passion for life and now ours are forever broken. Born in Sydney Mines on November 3, 1970, he was the son of Linda (Bragg) Gracie and the late Cameron Gracie Sr. As a kid, he was a curious & intelligent, constantly tinkering and fixing things, like the new bike he got for grading. Two hours later, it was pieces on the lawn. When asked “Cam, why did you take your new apart?” He answered “to learn how to put it back together”. He graduated from Memorial High School with a trade in Electrical as well as academic standing with a nomination for the Governor General’s Award. He continued his education at the Nova Scotia Community College where he received his diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology. He worked for many years with Atlantic Lotto before going to work alongside his father in the construction industry, completing projects such as the Northside Community Pool roof. His love of cooking, tinkering in his garage, and spending time in Iona were the things he enjoyed most. He also had a passion for geology and physics. Cam was a good and loyal friend and will be missed by many. He is survived by his mother Linda, sister Renee (Mike) Gallagher and his nephews Jordan and Lucas Gallagher of Porters Lake. He was predeceased by his father and his fur baby Skye. We’ll love you forever and miss you for always. ❤️.Cremation has already taken place and there will be a private family ceremony held at a later date. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
