We regret to announce the passing of the late Claire Cousins, 81, on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by family.

Born in Sydney Mines, on January 10, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Neil Morrison and the late Catherine (McConville) Morrison.

Claire enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Claire leaves behind her children Stephanie Cousins (Jerry), Denise Morrison (Phillip), Corky Cousins (Jackie), Jay Cousins (Ruth), and Laura Miller (Alan), as well as a brother and sister from the Devoe and Morrison family. Claire also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Claire was predeceased by her husband, John Cousins, and children Timothy and Patrick Cousins.

At Claire’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held at a later date.
