It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence Thomas (CT), who left us far too soon at the age of 39 on June 11, 2025.
Born in Halifax, NS, August 14, 1985. Graduated in 2007 from Special Adult Education, St Joseph’s School, Sydney Mines, NS.
CT had a gift for bringing light, laughter, and joy into the lives of everyone around him. Known for his infectious smile and upbeat spirit, he had a way of making even the simplest moments feel special, brightening all our days just by being himself. He found true happiness in life’s simple pleasures-especially spending time with his family, going on spontaneous outings, and his love for seagulls, of which he always had one with him wherever he went.
A cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. His love for family was deep and unwavering, and his presence was the heart of many gatherings. CT always reminded us to find joy in the everyday.
He is survived by his father, Clarence Morgan (Priscilla); mother, Debbie Andrea; sisters, Mary Crystal Andrea and Danielle (Grant) Donovan; grandmother Mary I Andrea; aunts, Sarah (Neil) Roach, Helen (Gerald) Cook, Elizabeth Donovan, Patricia ( John) Sakalauskas; godmother, Darlene Andrea (Thane); uncle, Eddy (Louise) Andrea along with many nieces, Yvonne, Gracie and Sophie, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
CT was predeceased by grandparents, Clarence and Theresa Morgan, Edward Andrea, and uncle Glen Morgan.
Special thanks to all the staff at the Society for Treatment of Autism, Barrington Street home, who cared for and touched his life over the years. We are deeply grateful to Dr Alex Wawer and the nurses at Northside General Hospital for all their compassionate care and kindness shown to CT.
There will be no visitation by request. A celebration service to honour CT’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 17th at Holy Family Parish Hall in Sydney Mines, NS, beginning at 11:00 am with a reception to follow. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
Though his time with us was far too short, the memories we made with him will last a lifetime. Rest peacefully, dear CT.
Your strength shines brightly, and your love will remain with us always.
