Colten MacIntyre Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we, the family of Colten William Macintyre, announce his sudden passing on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024. Colten lost his young life at the age of 32. Colten was born in Cape Breton on July 30th, 1992, to Kimberly Macintyre and Troy Robertson.
He is survived by his loving mother, Kimberly (Roger) Macintyre, stepfather Gerard Boudreau; his sisters, Amberlee (Brydon) and Shania; his children, Peyton, Lennon, Luna, and Ambrose, along with their mothers, Shayna, Julia, and Kristen; his grandparents Judith Reid and Tom Macintyre; his Uncle Kyle and his Aunt Karri Lee and a special niece August. Numerous loving friends also survive Colten, but most importantly, Colin, Brandon, Justin, and Nathan, whom he loved like brothers. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Nicole, who was his guiding light in recent months. He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandparents, Bridget and Jacob Reid.
Colten moved to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, at a very young age with his mother Kim, sister Amberlee, and stepfather Gerard, who raised him as his own. Due to his positive energy and outgoing personality, he made numerous friends.
In his early years he fell in love with the skateboard and continued the sport throughout his life. He had a very creative soul. He played harmonica and the ukulele, wrote poetry, made wood carvings, sang, and, among other things, he lived life to the fullest and was always trying new things. Colten was a beautiful soul, and he loved with all his heart. He always tried to make people smile by cracking jokes, telling funny stories, or brightening your day with his infectious smile or laugh. Colten had a tight bond with his mother and sister who he lovingly nicknamed Mother Goose and Amber Bamber. He always called to check in on everyone and would end the conversation with "I'll call you tomorrow," but he'd call back 5 minutes later.
When Colten became a Dad, his children became his life's focus. He loved his time with his children, always trying to be the best Dad. They were a huge part of his life and who he was. He loved to see them laugh so he would sing silly songs, make funny faces, or bring them on random adventures. He tried his best to get everything they needed, like showing up with random flowers at Peyton's dance competitions just to see her smile. His best traits will shine through in his girls and his boy. They will miss their Dad immensely.
His niece August will fondly remember her Uncle Colty because he took his role very seriously and always made sure she had a smile on her face whenever he was around. He loved her very much. He also had a special bond with his little cousin Merrick. Merrick looked up to him for his knowledge of skateboards and music. Colten was very proud of that.
If you were lucky enough to know Colten, you would know he was such a beautiful, kind, and positive soul. This tragic loss of his life has rippled through so many people who will miss him dearly. Going forward, we will cherish every memory of him and hold it dear to our hearts. Colten would not want us to spend our lives grieving him but rather celebrate his life and enjoy our lives to the fullest. He would also tell us never to miss a chance to say, “I Love You,”
We love you, Colten.
