It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, brother, Poppy and friend David Williams on July 25th, 2022 at Buchanan Memorial Health Centre.

David was born to the late John and Helena (Dauphinee)Williams in Sydney, NS on Nov 3rd, 1953.

David lived his life in Ingonish Beach and was employed as a carpenter and fisherman throughout his life.

David was a member of St Peter’s Church, Ingonish Beach, and was a member of the volunteer fire departments in the Ingonish area for 30 plus years. He was well known for his woodworking talents, and his many coffee dates with his friends.

Dave will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years Darlene (Jackson), his sons Justin (Barbie) Halifax, and Jason, Ingonish Beach. As well as his one and only grand daughter Braelyn whom he truly adored.

Also left to mourn his passing is his sister Dianne Dunphy (Mike), Blair (Rychina), Pat (Lee), and Johnny (Sherry), all of Ingonish. As well as many nieces and nephews. David will also be missed by his little companion, Toby.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Friday July 29, 2022 at 11 am at St. Peter’s Church, Ingonish with Fr. Alphonsus Iwuji’ officiating.
