JESSOME, Delores - Georges River
It is with deep sadness, that we the family, announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Delores Jessome, on Monday, January 15, 2024, in the Northside Community Guest Home in North Sydney, NS, at the age of 86. Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Evelyn (Gardiner) MacMullin.
She is survived by her loving husband, Barry, of 65 years; daughters Cheryl (Peter) Flewwelling, Paula (Shane) MacRae and Ann (Robb) Lidstone; her sons Adam (Paula) and Michael (Karen); daughter-in-law Gail; her grandchildren all of whom she was very proud: Krystle, Adam, Kyla, Kelli, Nicole, Matthew, Barry, Victoria, Rebecca, Logan, and Daniela; great-grandson Cyril; sisters, Theresa, Kaye, Ann Marie and Lorraine; brothers, John “Stemmer” (Barbara), Andrew (Helen), Brian (Brenda), Allan “Popeye”; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Daniel and Evelyn, she was predeceased by her son Raymond; grandchildren James, Job, Gabriel and Dominique; her sisters, Rachael and Mae; her brothers, Alex, George, Daniel, Gerald and Kenneth; mother and father-in-law Ed and Cassie (MacDougall) Jessome.
A heartfelt thank you to the Northside Community Guest Home (Joseph Hall) for taking such great care of our Mom over the past several months, and a special thank you to her niece Joanne. Also, we would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Stephanie Langley for the care she provided to our Mom for many years.
There is no visitation as per Mom’s wishes. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:30 am, at St. Joseph’s Church in Bras d’Or, with Fr. Fabian officiating. A reception will follow in the Bras d’Or Hall.
