Denise Geraldine Bennett

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Denise Bennett (nee Pinsent) announce her passing on Friday, December 26th, 2025 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, NS at the age of 58 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her partner, Steve Walker; sister, Elaine (David) Taylor; brother-in-law: Stephen Specker; nieces Kristina Norman (Stephen), Amanda Ellsworth (Jeremy), Stephanie Hatcher (Matthew); Nephew, Scott Specker (Lexy); Steve’s grandchildren Elsie, Michael and Antonia; special friend Amanda Langenhoff; as well as a large circle of great nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Stewart and Maxine Pinsent, sister, Glenda Specker and nephew Eugene Taylor.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held tentatively on Tuesday, December 30th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. The funeral service will be held tentatively on Wednesday, December 31st  at 2:00 p.m. at Fillatres Funeral Home Chapel with The Venerable David Taylor officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bay of Islands SPCA or a charity of your choice.
