Alder Point, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Denise Confiant, age 67, on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, at her home in Sydney Mines.

Born in Sydney Mines on September 27th, 1954, she was the daughter of Louise (Roland) Confiant and the late Gerald Confiant, loving parents of a very large, close-knit family.

After moving to Ontario and marrying in 1978, she became the mother of two loving sons that she adored, Ryan Pero and the late Jeffrey Pero. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter and the love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother Louise, her son Ryan (Erin) and her grandchildren, Hollie, Owen and Keira. Her brothers, Dave (Sandi) Confiant, Richie Confiant, and Vernon (Tracy) Confiant. Her sisters Laurie (Gerard) Howley, Nancy (Ernie) Lightfoot, Joanne (Cyril) Vickers, Gina (Billy) Carey, Lisa, Cynthia (Alan) Fennell, Monique (Rob) Wheeler and Mary Ann. She is also survived by her former spouse Joseph (Mandel) Pero and many nieces, nephews and friends both here and away.

Besides her father Denise is predeceased by her brothers, Ernie and Dennis, sister, Elaine her grandniece Molly, and her son, Jeffrey.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life for Denise Confiant will be held Thursday Sept 22, 2022 at 10:30 in St. Anne’s Church, Alder Point, with burial to follow St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or.  Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
