Donald Alexander MacDonald

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Alexander MacDonald on February 12, 2025. Donald was born in North Sydney on May 4, 1949, to his late parents, Cline MacDonald and Christine (Banks) MacDonald.
Donald is lovingly survived by his wife, Laura (Jessome) MacDonald, and his daughter, Melissa MacDonald. He is also survived by his brothers Chris, Art, and Jimmy, as well as his sisters Ida and Ellen.
Donald worked for many years at the local fish plant before finishing his career at Northside Exhibition. He was known for his hard work and dedication, always providing for his family and taking pride in his work.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at the same location. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cape Breton SPCA.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
