Dorothy Cecilia Roche

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Dorothy Cecilia Roche, who left this world peacefully on March 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Sydney Mines on May 31, 1935, Dorothy was the cherished daughter of Marion (Richards) Roche and John Roche. She devoted her life to being a loving and selfless mother, a role she embraced with unwavering dedication. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she found immense joy in every moment spent with them.
Dorothy shared a special bond with her daughter Dorothy, treasuring their time together—whether it was skating, walking, or creating lasting summer memories at Groves Point Beach with her beloved grandchildren. Her warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love will remain forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her loving children Joey, Dorothy (Lloyd), Vera (Gerard), and Shirley. She was predeceased by her dear parents, her cherished daughter Sheilia Clarke, and her beloved brother Joey Roche.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Northside Guest Home, whose kindness and dedication brought comfort to Dorothy in her final days. A special thank you to Dr. Eugene Ignacio for his care and support.
As per Dorothy’s wishes, no formal service will be held. In honor of her memory, donations can be made to a cause close to her heart, the SPCA, or to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, her love and spirit will remain with us always. Rest peacefully, Mom. You will be forever missed and eternally cherished.
