It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend, Eileen Carter. Mom passed away June 24, 2026 at the Northside General Hospital surrounded by her Family.

She was born in North Sydney on April 17, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Ella Mae (Laffin) Marsh.

At the young age of 18, she married the love of her life, Brian. The shared over 40 years together. She was an amazing wife and stayed by his side until his passing in 2014.

Mom worked at Canadian Tire in North Sydney for many years. Since her retirement 9 years ago she can be found spending quality time with her family, going out to lunch with her friends and planting flowers in her yard.

Mom’s passion was her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them baking, watching movies and just always being there for whenever they needed her. Nanny's motto was; whatever happens at nanny's stays at nanny's.

She is survived her three loving children, Brian (Charlene), David (Michelle) and Heather (Wilson) Jaques all of Syndey Mines.

She had 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild, who were all the apple of Nannies Eye.
