Elizabeth Mae Romeo
Sydney Mines
It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Elizabeth Romeo, announce her passing at the age of ninety-five on April 29th, 2024, at the Northside Community Guest Home.
The love we have experienced as a family molds the people we aspire to be. It is the love between a mother and her children that lasts forever and helps us through this difficult time as we move forward in our lives without her.
Our mother was a stay-at-home mom who raised and defended eight loving children. We often wondered where she found the time to treat each of us with so much love and compassion, always there as a guiding light. Part of each of us goes with you, Mom, but the best part of you will remain with all of us. We love you always, Mom.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister Mary, children Patricia (Bill), Connie, Barbara (Raymond), Norma, Frank (Carla), Terry (Wanda), Ron (Tammy), and Peter (Mark), fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Frank, her parents, John and Alounda Serroul, and siblings George, John Robert, Gerald, Douglas, and Isabel.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Michel McKeough and, especially, the staff of the Northside Guest Home, who showed Mom and her family so much love and understanding. It will never be forgotten.
In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation or service.
