It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Emma Pearl Munro at the Northside General Hospital on Sunday, September 10th, surrounded by her family and friends.
Emma was born in Florence; she was the daughter of the late James Munro and Julia (Stubbord) Munro. She was the last surviving member of her family.
At a later date, she moved to Ontario, where she sailed on the lake boats where she was an awesome cook and baker; she was known for her Famous coconut cream pie and boil dinner. Emma eventually moved back home to her Roots in Cape Breton, where she met the love of her life, Peter. They spent 11 years living in Point Aconi, Then eventually moved to Rendell Drive when they bought a home together, They were known to be seen walking the neighborhood block and walking their Gracie Ann. Aunt M also enjoyed a good game of cards, a good party on Saturday Nights with the guitars, and her favorite thing, Karaoke, Aunt M Loved her yard, she was known to have the nicest yard; Aunt M got the biggest surprise when Peter surprised her with the second love of her life it was Mia-Rose.
Besides her parents, Emma was predeceased by brothers Lorne, Billy, and Welsey. sisters Colleen, June, Kene, and Betty; Mother-in-Law Theresa and Father-in-Law Frankie, Brother-in-Law Jimmy and Gracie-ann. Emma leaves behind the love of her life Peter (Big Bee) of 33 years.
Her little companion Mia-Rose, Nieces, and Nephews.
At this time, we would like to thank Dr. Ignacio, Dr. A. Wawer, and the staff on 4 West for their dedication; we want to especially thank our Jeannie, who was there from day 1, the trips to Halifax, the overnights at the hospital, and just being a special friend.
Cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held, on Saturday, September 16th, at 11 a.m. at the Point Aconi Cemetery. We will miss you; Aunt M I know you will be watching over us see you on the other side, we will be together forever and a day.
