Forever in our hearts
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we, the family of Francis Blair Clark, announce his unexpected passing on June 15, 2025, at the age of 40.
Born in North Sydney on May 8, 1985, Francis was the beloved son of Frank and Catherine Clark. He was raised in a close-knit family surrounded by a large circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins who played an important role in shaping the man he became. From a young age, Francis learned the values of loyalty, friendship, and the deep importance of family—values that remained at the core of who he was throughout his life.
Affectionately known as Fran to those who loved him, he was someone who always went the extra mile for his people. Whether it was offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply showing up when it mattered most—Fran was there.
As a young boy, he spent countless hours by his father’s side, watching and learning. It was through this time together that he discovered a passion for carpentry, a craft he would pursue with dedication and pride throughout his life. Fran had a natural gift for building things—not just with wood, but with care, precision, and heart.
He was also an avid outdoorsman who found peace and freedom in nature. Whether he was casting a line at his favourite fishing spot or riding down the open road with the wind in his face, these were the moments that brought him joy and clarity.
But above all else, Francis’s greatest joy in life was being a father to his daughter, Nylah. She was his light, his reason, and his proudest achievement. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and Nylah will forever carry her father’s love and the lessons he taught her in her heart.
Francis is survived by his loving parents, Frank and Catherine Clark; his sister Ellen (Jerry) Forrest; his niece Samantha Forrest; and his beloved daughter, Nylah. He will also be deeply missed by extended family, countless friends, and all who had the good fortune of knowing him.
Cremation has taken place. In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no public services at this time. A private family gathering to honour Fran’s life will be held at a later date.
The family invites everyone who knew Francis to share their memories and photos in the online comments section. Your stories and moments of laughter, love, and life with Fran are treasured reminders of the man he was and the legacy he leaves behind.
Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.
