It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Frederick (Freddy) MacDonald, age 67, on Monday, April 5, 2021, in BC.

Born in Sydney Mines on November 3, 1953, he was the son of Florence (Matheson) MacDonald, and the late William (Bill) MacDonald.

Freddy worked on the lake boats at an early age, and then as an iron worker for many years.

He is survived by his mother Florence, sister Corinne (Corey) Musgrave, nephews David (Robin), North Sydney, Ian, Ottawa, and Michael, Calgary. He is also survived by grandnieces Morganne, Claire, Layla, Lilly and Sonia, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that he loved dearly.

Besides his father, Freddy was predeceased by his sister Sylvia, grandparents Michael and Lucy Matheson, and William and Jane MacDonald.
