George Barron Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we share with you the sad news of George's passing after a brief illness with cancer. Born in Ingonish on April 11th, 1957, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Ruby (Dupe) Barron.

George was a beloved husband to Shirley and a loving father to Allisha (Jason), Shavonne (Tyler), Adrian (Molly), Derrick (Debbie), and Ashley. Much loved poppy to Madison, Alexa, Macy, Destiny, and Denver.

George was loved so much by his siblings, Patsy, David (Darlene), Bernadette, Teresita (Jim), Ruby Ann (Larry), Melinda (Jim), sister-in-law Linda, and mother-in-law Ella.

George will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, sister and brother-in-law, numerous cousins, and a wonderful circle of friends.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his father-in-law, Alex Barron, brother Barry, and brothers-in-law, Adrian Whitty and David MacDonald.

George was happiest when traveling with Shirley to any southern destination, hunting at the camp with his best buddies Travis and Ricky, fishing with Tyler, hanging out in the barn with Phillip and the boys, playing cards, and washer toss. George's true love was Christmas; he watched Christmas movies year-round (in bet

ween re-runs of Little House).

George's career extended from cooking to carpentry, pipeline construction in Alberta, and fishing. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, huge heart, and love of nature. You are loved more than you know, George, and will be forever missed. Our lives will never be the same without you.

Thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of Buchanan Memorial Hospital. You took great care of George with kindness and compassion thanks to Dr. John Ritter and Jenna Whitty.
