Glenda Maureen Fahey (Tait), 77

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Glenda Maureen Fahey, at the age of 77. Maureen died peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends on November 20, 2024, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born and raised in Sydney Mines, Maureen was the daughter of late Theodore and Catherine (MacLeod) Tait. Maureen worked for Service Canada for over 30 years before she retired.
Maureen enjoyed listening to music especially Elvis Presley and she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids Cody and Jaxon. Maureen also enjoyed going to lunches with her co-workers, her high school reunion friends as well as her best friends Louise Iannetti, and Betty Pye. Maureen looked forward to her weekly visits with her “bestie” Debbie Nicholson.
Maureen is sadly missed and survived by her daughter Julie Ann (James), son Kevin, grandsons Cody and Jaxon who she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brother Lorne (Lynn) Tait, Ontario, her sister-in-laws Ann (Michael) Ley, Louisburg, Francis Fahey, Alberta, Laura Chaisson, Scotchtown, Rita (Alan) Found, Berwick, Sarah Ann, Sydney, Joanne, Halifax, Keitha, Ontario as well as many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and friends.

Sincere thanks to Dr. Peter Poulos, Dr Hewlett, Dr Kelly as well as all the nursing staff of 4A (fourth floor) of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. A special thank you to the VON nurses that came to her home for weekly visits.
