Jason Grant Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Jason Alexander Grant on November 4, 2025, at the age of 48. The beloved son of Murray Grant(Gloria) and Susan Marsh born in Toronto, Ontario,  February 24th, 1977. Jason was a proud father of his four children - Jayden, Jade(Chase), Kale and Ryan - and a loving Poppy to his granddaughter Hayden Mae.

At the early age of eighteen, Jason found his passion when his father took him to work on the diamond drills. He poured his heart and soul into his career, with 30 years of experience sharing his knowledge with those who he worked with. Jason travelled not only all over Canada, but got to explore many parts of the world through his work, going as far as Russia and Kyrgyzstan. He met so many people from various cultures and walks of life, and he would befriend every person he came across. He will be deeply missed by his drilling brothers, some that have been with him since the very beginning of his career. Jason shared his expertise with all who were willing to learn. Jason shared his passion with three of his brother-in

-laws and his son-in-law, who will all carry on Jason’s legacy in the diamond drilling field.

Jason’s part time job was being a jokester. There was never a shortage of laughter when Jason was around. All that are left to mourn him will hold cherished memories of Jason’s antics. Whether it was singing all of the wrong words to every song or embarrassing himself for the sake of a laugh, he made sure that his presence was left with a smile and a laugh.

Jason loved a lot of things in his lifetime, baseball, a cigarette and a coffee, “a little treat”, but above all he loved his family deeply and fearlessly.

Jason was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Alexander and Isabel Grant, and his maternal grandparents Frank and Mary Marsh. He is also predeceased by his cherished nephew Caden Giles.

He leaves behind his four children, “RJKJ” as he had it tattooed on his arm to feel close to them as he worked away. His parents, granddaughter, his only sister who was his other half, Julie Grant and his nephew Ethan. He will be deeply missed by Donna White, the mother of his children and his beloved “Big D”. Also left to mourn are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jason will be missed by all that had the pleasure of meeting him. Jason was a friend to all, and will be missed for many lifetimes.
