We the family are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved aunt Jeanie Maxwell on December 17, 2024.
Born on January 26, 1950 in Florence, to the late Henry and Madeline (Mulley) Maxwell, Jeannie was predeceased by her sisters Sally, Joyce, Elaine, Carolyn and Susan. Jeanie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Jeanie had a love of life and will be forever remembered for her laugh and sense of humor. She had a love of travel, books, movies, theatre and of course yard sales and flea markets.
If you were her friend, she was a friend for life. She made many along her journey and gratitude is expressed to all especially to Liz, Rita and Fred for their support over the last days of Jeanie’s life.
We, her nieces and nephews, will miss her the most, especially our morning tea sessions and visits to Middle River.
Although Jeanie was a spiritual person, she did not want a viewing or service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Sydney Mines.
Cremation will take place under the direction of JM Jobes Funeral Home Sydney Mines. A private burial will take place at a later time.
“Weep not for me,
For I am with mine,
And mine are with me,
Together in heaven for eternity.”
