It is with broken hearts and absolute sadness that we, the family of Joe King, announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, on September 19, 2022, at the age of 67.
Joe lived his life as a kind and gentle soul and an "all around" nice guy to anyone who had the pleasure to know him.
Famous for his pizza, Joe thrived as an established business owner for over 40 years.
Joe "Ding" King loved nothing better than sitting in his blind waiting for the next big buck. He loved summer and winter fishing. Always the accomplished athlete, he played all levels of baseball. A lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Joe enjoyed nothing more than watching them on Hockey Night in Canada.
The music aficionado, Joe knew every song played on the radio and the artist singing it. The last three years, he enjoyed the campfire at his summer retreat in Iona at Time Out campground. He will be missed at the Friday night card games.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Kimberly, daughter Laura Lee Prince (Shawn) son Greg (Cristal), granddaughter Alisha Hill (Roger), grandson Josh Prince, granddaughter Minique King, grandson Kodie King, two great granddaughters Amelia and Elena Hill. Also survived by his brother Wayne King, sisters Brenda O'Dea, Liz Dickie and brother Bennie Aulenback.
He will be sadly missed by his girls, Piper and Phoebe Beaucoup.
He was predeceased by his late wife Marla MacLean King and his parents Veronica and Greg King of Florence.
Visitation for Joe will be Friday 23 September at 1 pm to 3 pm.
Celebration to follow at Joe's Pizza and Italian Fare.
