We are very saddened to announce the death of a very loved John Arseneault, Sydney Mines, on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at the age of 82.

Born in Campbellton, NB, on February 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Paul and Yvonne Arseneault. John was only a few months old when his father died in a work-related explosion.

He is survived by his wife Donna (MacQueen) Arseneault, his son John, his grandchildren Riley and Molly, and his daughter-in-law Fiona (Wayne’s wife). He also leaves behind brothers-in-law Blair Ramsey and Wayne MacQueen, sisters-in-law Lois MacDonald, Jackie MacQueen, Elaine MacQueen, Yvonne and Carol, a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his friend Paulette.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Wayne, step-father Henri, sisters Bertha and Theresa, brothers Adrian, Jerry and Roland, sister-in-law Ruth, mother and father-in-law Regis and James MacQueen, brothers-in-law Donnie, James (Sonny), Lorne, Ricky, and Ronnie MacQueen, Russell McDonald, a sister-in-law that died at birth, a very special friend Reggie Doucette, and his Buddy Hurcel Gillard.
