John "Johnny" LeBlanc

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of John "Johnny" LeBlanc on June 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Wilson and Annie Mae LeBlanc of Little Pond.

On June 13, 2026, Johnny suddenly became ill and was admitted to the ICU. His family remained by his side throughout, supporting him and ensuring the medical team explored every possible cause. Despite everyone's efforts, God had other plans and called him home.

While we find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain, we are deeply saddened that his passing came so suddenly.

Johnny was a calm, loving, relaxed, and easy-going man with a kind soul who was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply and went above and beyond to support them in every way he could. He felt the same love for his siblings. Although he may not always have said it aloud, his love was shown through his actions, especially when he was surrounded by family and friends.

Johnny enjoyed life to the fullest and found happiness in the simple things. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time at the ball field watching baseball. His love of the game began when his sons, Patty and Justin, were young, and he took on the role of coach so he could spend time with them on the field.

Later in life, he enjoyed sharing that same love of sports with his grandchildren, playing basketball, shooting a few hoops with them, or simply cheering them on. Johnny also enjoyed watching wrestling and spending evenings watching television with his mother. Those evenings together became a treasured part of his routine, and he never missed a night.

Johnny loved going fishing, especially with his friends Chris and Jackie. He also enjoyed taking drives to look at Christmas lights with his children and taking them to parks and beaches.

Some of his most treasured moments were the drives he shared with his daughter, Holly, listening to music together and singing along to their special song, "Daddy's Girl."

Johnny never missed an opportunity to be present for the people he loved. Whether it was birthdays, school events, holidays, or family gatherings, he was always there for anyone in every way he could. Halloween was one of his favorite times of the year. He loved sitting on the floor and sorting through bags of treats with his children and, later, his grandchildren.

He enjoyed card nights with his mother, family, and friends, as well as board game nights with his second family, the Roses.

Johnny shared a special bond with his granddaughter. They loved spending time together, whether sitting on the floor playing, cuddling on the couch, or simply enjoying each other's company. He affectionately called her his "little sweet honey" or "Twiggie."

We also cannot forget his true best friend of the past 13 years, his beloved dog, Yogi Bear.

Family meant everything to Johnny. He cherished family get-togethers, whether with the LeBlanc family or his second family, the Roses.

Johnny was the kind of person who told it like it was, whether you wanted to hear it or not. He loved to joke around and make people smile. He spent countless hours watching funny videos, listening to music on his laptop, and sharing them with others so they could enjoy them too.

Of all the things Johnny enjoyed, his favorite pastime was visiting his daughter's home and spending time with her and his grandchildren; he rarely missed a day. Whenever Johnny made a coffee, he made sure it was stirred just right. The familiar clinking of the spoon against the glass could be heard for at least a minute—a small but unforgettable part of who he was.

Johnny leaves behind his three children, Patty (John Patrick), Holly, and Justin; his five grandchildren, Zoey, Bryson, Carter, Jacklynn, and Johnathan; his two brothers, Danny (Judy) and James (Anne); his sister, Cathy (Billy); as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Susan, whom he considered a dear friend, and his beloved dog, Yogi Bear.

Johnny was predeceased by his brother, David, and David's wife, Miriam. He was also predeceased by John and Sarah Rose, whom he considered family.

Johnny's kindness, loyalty, sense of humor, and unconditional love for those around him will never be forgotten. He leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured forever by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Johnny will be held on Monday June 29, 2026 from 1-2 pm with a celebration of life directly following at 2 pm inn JM Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A reception will follow at the Sydney Mines Pensioners club.
