Joshua Todd Donovan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joshua Todd Donovan, on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 33.

Josh was born in North Sydney to Tammy Haggett Clark and the late Todd Donovan. He is survived by his loving mom and stepdad, Roy Clark; sister Kendra Donovan (James Brayon); stepsister Aleah MacKinnon (Josh Donovan); and maternal grandparents Gordon and Shirley Haggett.

He also leaves behind his three beautiful children, Brooklynn, Jesse, and Laceigh Donovan, and stepson Brody White. Josh was a proud uncle to his three nieces, Jaelyn, Olivia, and Kyleigh Brayon, whom he adored.

Josh was predeceased by his father, Todd Donovan; paternal grandparents Michael and Delores Donovan; and cousin Mitch Donovan.

He will be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends—especially his closest friend Raymond Frison —as well as the mothers of his children, Sarah Miles and Dayna Crossan.

From the time Josh could walk, he loved anything with wheels. He grew up enjoying camping and fishing with his family, often taking special trips with his “Ginger-Papa” to the trailer. He shared a special bond with his Nan, whom he dearly loved and often turned to for her endless love and support.

Josh was a kind and gentle soul, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. He was the first to befriend anyone new at school or work, making everyone feel welcome.

He was employed at Miller Tire Craft in Dartmouth, where he quickly earned the role of shop foreman—a position he took great pride in.

Rest easy, my beautiful boy. You are at peace from the demons that gripped you. Fly high into the arms of your dad until we meet again. I will love you always and forever, my boy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, with a prayer service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
