Karen Ann (Whitty) Bona

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Karen Ann Bona (Whitty), on June 11th, 2024. She was born and raised in North Sydney with her three siblings, Rachel MacDonald, Teddy Whitty, and George Whitty.

                Karen was predeceased by her mother Edna Whitty "Nan" and is survived by her three daughters, Linda (Dan) Whitty, Kimberly (John) Whalen, and Tracey (Sean) Whitty, six grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.

                If we could say one thing about our mother. It would be how much she loved her family and wanted nothing but the best for them.

If Flowers grow in heaven, Lord then pick a bunch for me,

Then place them in my mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me,

Tell her that I love and miss her and when she turns to smile,

Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while

Cremation has taken place, and as per Karen's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
