It’s with heavy hearts that we, the family of Kathleen Genevieve (Doyle) Bragg, 92, of Bras d’Or, announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend on July 21st, 2024, at the Northside Community Guest Home.
She was born in New Waterford on September 6th, 1931, to the late Edward and Anastasia Doyle. Mother was a loving, kind, and caring person who devoted her life to her children. She was a member of St. Angus Parish in New Waterford. She enjoyed her many trips to New Waterford to visit her extended family, walking across the busy trans-Canada highway to get the mail, and going to the store for her weekly Lotto tickets. She had a special place in her heart for her dog “Buddy,” Always making sure he had his favorite treats. She loved going to Gerald and Darlene’s for supper and family gatherings. She enjoyed the many phone calls to and from family, always ending with “I Love You.”
Kathleen is survived by her sons Gerald (Darlene), Gary (Lynn), Keith, Kevin, and Norman; Daughters Eileen and Debbie; Sister Genevieve (Jenny) and friend Jimmy; Brother John (Ban); and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandmother, former daughter-in-law Melaine and her special niece Louise.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Stan, son Leonard. Brothers Gerald (Brenda), James, Neil, sisters Eileen, Jeanette (Myles), Mary (Andrew). And son-in-law Bennie.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Northside Community Guest Home, who always made her feel so special and loved.
Cremation has taken place under the direction and care of JM Jobes Funeral Home. A funeral service and celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, with the family receiving visitors from 1-2 and a prayer service officiated by Deacon David Lewis beginning at 2 pm.
