Lisa Marie Burton

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce Lisa Marie Burton, 57, passed away suddenly on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, at her home in Sydney Mines.

Lisa is survived by her son Mitchell, his partner Margaret, brother Christopher, cousin Heather, and her parents Daryl and Wallina. She also leaves behind a multitude of loving friends and family, including her dedicated care workers, Tanya, and Karen, who knew her so well and provided her with exceptional care.

Lisa had a passion for her studies and the arts. She graduated from the top of her high school class as Valedictorian. She earned a degree in Fashion and Merchandising and worked in the film and fashion industry for over 10 years.

A devout member of the church, Lisa embraced her faith and never allowed health struggles to diminish her compassionate and loving nature. Her friends and family will greatly miss her.

We invite you to join us in remembering Lisa at a visitation on Wednesday, May 22, from 6 - 8 pm at J.M. Jobes Funeral Home. The funeral mass, followed by a lunch, will be held on Thursday, May 23, at 11 am at Holy Family Parish, Sydney Mines, with Father Angus MacDougall's Officiation.
