It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and husband, Louis William Cann, at the age of 63.
Louis was born in North Sydney on November 5th, 1960 and resided in Big Bras d'Or. He was the son of the late Cecil and Lorna Cann and was predeceased by his sister Wanda and brother Joseph.
He is survived by his wife Esther, children Cecil, Jeffery (Natasha) and Tammy (Billy), Grandchildren Andrew, Madison, Kallie, Lacey, Logan, Celia, Jeffery Jr (JJ), William, and Isabella, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
A long-time member of Local 92 in Alberta. Louis also had a passion for antique cars, especially his Chevelle, fly fishing, and Ice fishing with his uncle Mugsy. In the summer evenings, you would see him and his wife Esther enjoying the live music and summer breeze at the beach. You could always rely on Louis to be there with a helping hand for friends or family he was always there.
Join the family to celebrate Louis's life on Sunday, March 17, 2024. There will be a visitation at Jobes JM Funeral Home in Sydney Mines from 1 to 3 p.m., with a funeral service that will follow at 3 p.m.
