It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Lynda Fawn (Briers) Fowler on November 21, 2020 at the young age of 66.
Lynda was the daughter of the late Esther and Harold Briers of Sydney Mines, NS. After graduating from Acadia University Lynda moved to Labrador City, NF and began her 37-year career as an educator with AP Low Primary School. She dearly enjoyed her work, friends and family in Labrador.
Lynda will be deeply missed by her children Matthew and Nicholas, who went above and beyond in caring for her during her illness. Matt and Nick were her life.
Besides her sons, she leaves behind her siblings; brothers David (Terri) and Bruce (Lisa), and sisters Jeanne (Jody Jessome) and Wendy (Jim Clarke). Also left to mourn are her brothers-in-law; Gerry, Albert (Pauline), Ralph (Mary), and Francis, and sisters-in-law; Clare (Albert Spurvey), Eleanor (Cliff Winsor), Christine (Harold Budgell); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lynda was predeceased by her husband Justin Fowler, father Harold Briers and in-laws Lawrence, Harold, Bernard, Marie and Theresa.
Cremation has taken place and a beautiful service to celebrate Lynda’s life was held at Carol United Church in Labrador City, with Rev. Dean Sellars officiating. Donations in Lynda’s memory can be made to a charity of ones’ choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
