It is with great sadness the family of Malcolm Charles MacIsaac, known lovingly as Malcie, announce his passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Malcie earned his wings on March 2nd, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born on June 1, 1945, and spent much of his childhood and younger years in Leitches Creek. It was in his later years he met His soulmate Brenda, and they started a life together in North Sydney with 3 children he helped to raise and proudly claimed as his own.
Malcie will be forever missed by his sweetheart and love of his life, Brenda, and his three girls, Denise (Eddie), Darlene, and Brendalee (James), as well as eight grandchildren whom he was so proud to be a papa, Bianca, Marcus, Paige, Chloe, Charlie, Willow, Madison, and MacKenzie.
Malcie also leaves to mourn his beautiful brothers and sisters Margie (Harold), Millie, Mike (Anne Marie), Reggie (Nancy), Cameron (Joan), Angus (Vanda), Theresa (Blair), Yvonne (Glen), and Karen, brother-in-law Steve Horechuk and Joanne MacIsaac Sister-in-Law, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and aunts and uncles.
Besides his parents Stephen and MaryAnn, Malcie was predeceased by his sister Thelma and Brother Wayne. Malcie was a hard worker and for many years worked for MacDonalds Trucking as a heavy equipment operator and he could handle a backhoe like nobody’s business! He loved a good family get together, and many a kitchen party was held at Brenda and Malcies in their younger years and he could double you over in laughter with his shenanigans and stories and he made you laugh just to hear his laugh, what a rig he was!
As he got older, he loved to see the kids and grandkids come home to visit and grew his beard as long as he could just to tease them before shaving it off the moment they arrived. Still full of humor, he brought us so much joy and laughter but also gave us the gift of love because we knew how much he loved us, especially how much he loved our mom.
Malcie's visitation will be held at J M Jobes Funeral Home on Saturday, March 16th, from1 p.m.,to 3 p.m. with a service to follow officiated by Deacon Lewis.
“We will tip our hats to the keeper of the stars.”
