Margaret Peggy (White) Allison
It's with heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of our sister Peggy on May 3rd, 2024, at the Northside General Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 72, with her brother and sisters by her side.
She was the daughter of the late John (Boss) and Annie (Shaw) White. Peggy worked at Alder Point Fish Plant for many years until she had a stroke, but that did not stop her from doing the things she loved: shopping, bingo, and her drives in the evening with Ronnie for their coffee.
Left to mourn are brother Melvin, Sisters Matilda, Thelma (David) Dian, Marcella, Debbie (Danny), brother-in-law Tommy, her godchildren Robin, Troy, Todd, many nieces and nephews, whom she was a second mother to, her fur baby Abe, whom she loved dearly, and many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ronnie (Stretch) Allison; her in-laws, George and Evelyn Allison; her brothers, Charlie and Donie; Sister Hazel; nieces Cindy, Angela, and Dawn; nephews Nush, Jordie, Allan, and David; Sister-in-laws Mary and Betty; and brothers-in-law Kenny MacRae and Alex MacGregor.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brown, Dr. Ignacio, the Nurses, and the staff of the Northside Guest Home, the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, EHS, as well as the nurses and staff of 4 West Northside General Hospital.
Cremation has taken place; there will be a graveside service on Saturday, May 18th, at 1 PM at Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Dion Durdel. Al luncheon will follow at Bras d’Or Hall. Donations in Peggy’s name can be made to the Local SPCA
